Hours of Business

We are open for pre-booked boarding collections and drop-offs during the following hours: Monday to Saturday: 8:00am – 9.30am and 4.30pm – 6pm.
Doggy day care: 8:00am to 6.00pm.
Sundays and Bank Holidays: By prior arrangement only.

Animals can only be accepted and given out within business hours, unless we are notified in advance. PLEASE respect our opening hours as the gates will be locked at all other times.

Belongings

You are encouraged to bring your own beds and toys to help your dog to feel happy and at ease in their holiday home. Whilst we will endeavour to take the greatest care, we accept no responsibility for loss or damage to customer belongings.

Food

We encourage owners to bring their own food in for their dog so as to avoid changes to their usual diet and potential upset stomachs. Fresh food brought in by owners will always be stored in a designated fridge.

Exercising Dogs

Dogs from the same household will be walked and exercised together however we do limit socialising with other dogs. This is not only for their safety, but also means they get more individual attention from us. No dogs leave the site whilst boarding with us and no dogs are left unattended outside their kennel.

Photography and Filming

Unless otherwise instructed, we may from time to time photograph your dog during their stay for marketing and website purposes. Neither your name or that of your pet will be revealed.

These images shall remain our property although you are welcome to a copy on request.

Reservations

To make a reservation please complete the booking form, ensuring all fields are completed.

Please note, reservations are not confirmed bookings until you have received confirmation of your booking from us and have paid the required deposit.

Payments & DEPOSITS

Payments can be made either by BACS or by cash.

We require a 50% deposit within 24 hours of when your booking is confirmed by us; the balance can be paid in advance or, at the latest, when dropping your dog into the kennels at the beginning of their stay.

Please contact us for details of rates over the Christmas and New Year period.

Booking deposits will be refunded where cancellations have been made more than 14 days before the day of arrival.

Fees are charged at a daily rate. A full day’s rate is charged on both arrival and departure days unless your dog is collected before 7:30am on the day of departure. Should an animal be collected before the booked departure date, the remaining occupancy fee will still be chargeable.

YOUR DOG’S HEALTH

Your pet can only be accepted on or after any date booked for boarding if it is in good health and you are able to produce a Vaccination Certificate confirming your pet’s inoculations are fully up to date. All dogs must be vaccinated against:

○ Distemper

○ Hepatitis

○ Leptospirosis

○ Parvovirus, and

○ Canine Leptospirosis

○ Kennel cough

No dog will be accepted for boarding unless it has been inoculated, it is the owners responsibility to ensure all vaccinations are up to date.

All dogs must be microchipped and the microchip number and registry supplied.

All dogs to have been recently wormed, and treated for fleas with a licenced veterinary product. Should any pet on arrival require treatment for any internal or external parasites then a charge will be levied equivalent to the cost to us for that treatment.

Any current or ongoing problems with any pet’s health or temperament must be notified to us at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse any pet that is, or appears to be, sick at the start of boarding, or any bitch in season or due to come into season during the boarding period. Bitches in season will not be accepted under any circumstances. If a bitch comes into season during the stay they will be removed to the emergency contact and you will be charged for the full booked stay. It is your responsibility to ensure this does not happen.

We reserve the right to refuse any pet that we consider to have behavioural problems, to be of an unreliable or aggressive temperament, or those of dangerous breeds.

Should it be necessary, at our discretion, for a vet to be called out for any health condition which existed prior to boarding, all fees incurred are the responsibility of the owner.

Shared accommodation

We will require your written permission to house more than one pet from the same household in shared accommodation. Please confirm consent on the booking form.

Insurance

Insurance cover is provided for any kennel-related illness or injury for the duration of the boarding period. Should the insurance company or vet deem any ailment or injury is not kennel-related the cost of any treatment will be the responsibility of the owner. Pre-existing conditions and clinical signs of pre-existing conditions are excluded. Injury caused by one of your pets to another of your pets is excluded. Any costs over the insurance cover maximum policy amount will be the responsibility of the owner.

For pets staying for more than 31 consecutive days there is an additional insurance cost which is charged on a monthly basis.

FEES & AMENDMENTS

Acceptance and Contract

Our acceptance of your booking happens when we send you a booking confirmation by email, post or call you to confirm your booking, at which point a contract will come into existence between us (Bogmoor Kennels) and you (the Pet Owner). If we are unable to accept your booking, we will inform you and you will not be charged. Any payments you have made to us for services not received, will be refunded.

Shared accommodation

Should we feel the need to separate your pets in the interest of the animal’s own safety, for each additional accommodation used for each night the animals are separated, an extra day’s accommodation charge equal to the agreed daily rate at the start of the contract, will be-chargeable.

Amendments to bookings

Changes to bookings must be advised at least 14 days prior to the start of the original booking. We may not be able to accommodate changes made within 14 days of the booking commencement.

Cancelling a booking

Bookings cancelled less than 14 days prior to the day of arrival will be charged for in full.

Abandoned animals

We reserve the right to rehome animals that have not been collected within 14 days of the stated departure date once all efforts have been made to contact either the dog’s owner, or guardian, via the communication channels provided.

All fees accrued as a consequence of such actions, whether during their extended stay and or rehoming will automatically be passed onto the relevant owner or guardian once found or voluntarily made known to us.

PRIVACY POLICY

The information you provide will be kept on record. However, we will only keep yours and your pets details for the benefit of your custom with us, and will not contact you other than for matters relating to the business of Bogmoor Kennels.
